The NWBF is a registered NGO based in the mainland of Tanzania with a goal of helping and caring for underprivileged communities. The NWBF promotes the socio-economic welfare of vulnerable and disadvantaged communities (particularly orphaned, abandoned and destitute children, widows, widowers, elders, disaster affected people, impovershed families and those infected by disease in Tanzania).
The NWBF's general objective is to promote community resilience and youth leadership initiatives that develop young people's talents and unlock their potentials for sustainability in their futures.
The NWBF’s themes are community development, education, health, water and sanitation, environment, entrepreneurship, human rights, social protection, sustainable agriculture and living up to the creed that “the hungry be fed, the naked clothed, the sick nourished, the aged protected, and the infants cared for”.
The purpose for establishing the organization is specifically to supplement and compliment government efforts of community development programs in rural settings intended at creating a strong economic base for improving the standard of life in rural areas and to minimize rural-urban migration.
We hope to promote urban-rural migration by improving rural community services at community levels.
